The professions guide part of it gives you step-by-step 1-450 leveling for all professions and is the quickest AND cheapest way to level up in herbalism.

Quite certainly, Herbalism is a profession that requires a lot of patience. You might have to go to several lengths to get the herbs that you need and then if you have to make money out of them, you will have to look at places where you can sell them. The auction house is a good place where you can sell the herbs you have gathered, but then there are other ways to sell too.

If you have found a buyer for the herbs you have collected, then mostly likely that person is an alchemist. Alchemists need herbs more than anyone else. In fact, it is a very good idea if you make Alchemy your allied profession along with Herbalism. You could then make products with the herbs you collect and sell them for a higher price.

Once you find a buyer for your herbs, make sure that you keep them in mind. You will get the contact info of the person that buys herbs from you. Make note of these, and also make note of the kind of herb they have purchased. This will help you in making quick money the next time round.

When you have more herbs of the same kind, you could communicate with the person and ask them if they need more of the herb. There are high chances that they will and you can even hike your price for the herbs that you are selling to them. In fact, you can make more money this way than selling through the auction house.

The herbs are found in WoW all across the world, but mainly in the hilly areas that are located close to the fields. A list of the fields where you can find the herbs up to level 100 is given below.

Herbalism Guide for Level between 1 and 50

The herbs that you can collect when you are within this level are earthroot, peacebloom and the silver leaf. These are the herbs that you find early on in the game and you will find them very easily.

The places where you can find the herbs include the beginning areas such as Azuremyst Isle, Dun Morogh, Durotar, Elwynn Forest, Eversong Woods, Mulgore, Teldrassil and Tirisfal Glades.

Herbalism Guide for Level between 51 and 100

The herbs that you can collect at this stage include

• Briarthorn
  You can find a lot of it at Darkshore, Silverpine Forest from the Sepulcher down rocks, Redridge, Wetlands, and Duskwood.
  
  
• Mageroyal
  Look for it in Westfall along the beach, The Barrens, Bloodmyst Isle, Darkshore, Ghostlands, Loch Modan, and Silverpine Forest.
  
  
• Stranglekelp
  This can be found underwater so it helps if you have the secondary profession of fishing. Find it in Stranglethorn Vale, Hillsbrad Foothills, Feralas, and The Barrens.

More Herbalism Tips

It helps if you have ‘Click to Move’ set. Just go to Options/Video Options. This means if you see a herb far away, you can just right click on it to go there and automatically loot.

It also helps to have the Gatherer addon installed, which lets you record locations of herbs on your mini map.
